Our Story
At Kalamazoo Mechanical, Inc. (KMI) our story and business are based on family and relationships.
Since 1985, KMI has been locally owned and operated in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Originally founded by Irv Cornish, a New York native, the business is now second-generation owned and operated by Carson Cornish.
As a result, Carson describes KMI as a Midwest company with New York flair.
KMI has been a perpetual leader in all facets of commercial HVAC/R, design, installation, and service—including installations in prominent schools, manufacturing and medical facilities, office complexes, churches, and much more. Our spirit of continual improvement means we are seasoned in all emerging trends of the HVAC industry, such as environmentally friendly refrigerants, sustainable construction, indoor air quality, and safety.
KMI is a member of Associated Builders and Contractors, and is bonded and licensed in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
