Newell Rubbermaid

Kalamazoo Mechanical, Inc. performed the HVAC work at the new 40,000 SF R&D facility for Newell Rubbermaid in Kalamazoo. The buildings HVAC is served by 7 high efficiency gas fired Aaon packaged heating and cooling RTUs. The RTUs are ducted through exposed spiral ductwork. The perimeter of the building is served by electric wall panels and electric finned tube to take the chill off the large glass windows. KMI partnered with Control Net LLC to provide a new DDC controls system to manage the buildings HVAC systems. This system allows Rubbermaid’s maintenance staff to view and change set points from their facilities in Atlanta, GA.
