The Nature center 2013 summer constructions projects included the construction of a new 4000 sq ft preschool and the renovation of their 5,000 square foot summer camp barn. Kalamazoo Mechanical, Inc. completed the HVAC and plumbing for both the new preschool and camp. Both projects incorporated a boiler and radiant heat system. The preschool incorporated split-system air conditioners for their cooling needs. Both building are controlled by programmable thermostats.
A challenge that was presented in both projects was the aggressive three month construction schedule so that school could start promptly in the fall and camp could open in the summer.
