KMI performed the HVAC and plumbing work at the new 150,000 SF cold storage warehouse for General Mills in Kalamazoo. The buildings office HVAC needs are served with 3 packaged heating and cooling RTUs, the maintenance and machine rooms are served by a heating only Make up air unit with matching exhaust fan. The machine room is also equipped with an emergency ammonia ventilation system consisting of three 13,000 CFM exhaust fans and matching intake louvers. The pluming consisted of a large gang bathroom and locker room in the offices, as well as general building plumbing for the rest of the building. KMI installed a Honeywell Redlink controls system for the office HVAC system allowing the facilities managers to monitor and adjust their set points via their computers or smart phones.
