Kalamazoo Mechanical, Inc. performed the HVAC and plumbing work for the Coloma school district in the summer of 2013. The HVAC work involved ductwork and diffuser replacements at the junior high and middle school, as well as a new HVAC system for the 20,000 SF elementary school addition. The new addition was served by 12 new gas fired packaged heating and cooling RTUs. The plumbing work involved new gang bathrooms at the middle school, science lab work at the junior high, and a new system at the elementary school addition. KMI partnered with Honeywell as they performed the district wide building management system upgrades in accordance with the Honeywell energy management audit. All buildings were upgraded with DDC controls on the HVAC allowing the facilities management to view and make changes to the building set points from their computers.
